At College Zoom, our goal is simple: we want to make applying to your dream school an experience that is fun, rewarding, and life-changing. Let us show you how!

Whether your dream school is a UC, USC, or any other US News & World Report top 100 university, we want to see you succeed.
How We Develop Successful College Applicants
Because of the way we coach our students to communicate their attributes to universities, our clients are consistently accepted by their reach schools. We understand the people you are petitioning for acceptance (admissions officers). Grades, test scores, and extracurricular activities are undeniably important, but admissions officers at highly competitive universities are looking for more.
We help students gain admittance to the nation’s most selective universities by enlightening the way our students think about themselves. Mastering the admissions process with us entails developing a master understanding of yourself. Through personal discussions we will help you articulate applications that “Wow!” people with the quality of your reflection, the meaningfulness you assign to your own strengths, and the windows you provide into your life. Further, we won’t just tell you how to write your application – we’ll show you!
When you work with us, we’ll help you articulate all of your ideas through one-on-one sessions. You will start to see your application represent the best of you. Your writing will further reflect your elevated self-awareness, authentic voice, and deepened insights.
The foundation of College Zoom’s service is the persuasive writing process, which is not a featured subject in most credentialing programs for teachers and counselors. By utilizing strategies that appeal to a reader’s logic and emotion, College Zoom can help you develop and articulate messages in ways many counselors cannot. In 2011, College Zoom’s director, David Reynaldo, became the first private college counselor to co-instruct a class on college essay writing for Beverly Hills High School to supplement the admissions preparation students got from their school counselors.
Our History
College Zoom was founded in 2009 at the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business (the #2 nationally ranked school for entrepreneurship in 2009). Three seniors who had either won or been nominated for the university’s most coveted student awards developed a unique inter-disciplinary philosophy that applied cognitive, linguistic, and psychological sciences to the admissions essay writing process and they set out to make the advantages offered by $15,000 Ivy League coaches more affordable for middle class families.
Awards bestowed on College Zoom by the University of Southern California
In College Zoom’s debut season, College Zoom became the highest ranked service-industry venture in USC’s 2009 Management of New Ventures Competition after all but but one of its customers matriculated to a top 40 ranked national university (US News & World Report). During our second season, College Zoom’s first formalized business plan drew praise from other admissions professionals with over 125 years of experience and won runner-up in USC’s 2010 Best Business Plan Competition. Currently, in our third season, College Zoom is serving its first students from the east coast and Asia. Meanwhile, our director, David Reynaldo, has become the first private college counselor to lead an elective class at Beverly Hills High School for college essay and rejection letter appeal writing.
